Hi,
I'm from Australian Catholic University and we have this same issue with a growing number of vendor databases that make use of the Atypon Literatum product http://www.atypon.com/literatum/overview.php to serve their mobile content.
As a result we have a number of databases and new ones mentioning they are moving to it, for where off campus access from mobile devices is completely broken.
These are the ones that no longer have off campus mobile access for our student's:
CRC net Base
Intermid
Internurse
Taylor & Francis Online
Informahealthcare
Maneyonline
and coming soon: Psychiatryonline
I suspect there are also others we just haven't come across yet!
If you Google for inurl:/action/mobileDevicePairingLogin
You get a bit of a list of those google indexed database vendors that are using Atypon Literatum, I'm assuming it's not exhaustive, but you may find a few others you subscribe to you were not aware of, I did.
One of the vendors we have been discussing this with presumably asked Atypon about the problem, and this is one of the responses we received from them:
"the URL xxxx gets rewritten to xxxx and this is what then causes browse/search to fail. This is not something that we can fix - it is simply due to the fact that there is no established support for EZProxy in Atypon's Literatum"
Anyhow, I don't have any answers, just wanted to throw my 2c into the ring as another institution battling this irritating issue :/
Perhaps we could get together a group of ezproxy institutions affected by this and lobby Atypon to start supporting ezproxy? Seems to me that's where the fix needs to take place.
Cheers,
John

Hi Eileen,
I believe both T&F and MIT Press use the Atypon platform to host their journal content which would explain why you're encountering the same problem on both sites.

Someone on the ERIL-L list reported the same problem when viewing MIT Press journals using a mobile device. The mobile site looks identical for both MIT Press and Taylor and Francis, and I see this error for both vendors' mobile sites on an iPad Air and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 using Android when accessing them via EZProxy. I don't know a solution, but if you open the side panel in the mobile app and scroll all the way down, there is an option to switch to the Full Site, and then you can access the content. But, students won't know to do that, and links coming from EBSCO EDS via LinkSource fail with a completely unhelpful error message of "A System Problem has Occurred. To continue with the session, go back to the previous page." If anyone knows the solution for this, I'd like to know too.

We have found that on iOS devices, the mobile display of Taylor & Francis's platform causes error messages such as "Error while trying to create a session. Please try again later." And "IfmSearch - Authentication failed with the given credentials." If I remove our proxy from the URL, we're able to access search functions and PDFs successfully on the same device. Has anyone else experienced this in T&F, and do you know of a fix?
